The game of the year, considering what was at stake for the time being.  Here's my take:
  • As previously noted, Mr. Stores opened for business, particularly the defense of Billy Ball.
  • Mr. Pankey finally showed up with his Maryland letter sweater on.
  • Lady Luck was wearin' the Green - Billy Ball misses 3 of 4 fts late and GB's threethrow bounces high and drops through.
  • Unlike the Iona game, we had the Kaopectate working last night.  The aforementioned 1st half run when the lead went from 32-16 to 32-30,  Dr. Richards prescribed a well-placed threethrow and during winning time when they closed from 67-56 to 67-62 and the crowd was expecting another Billy Ball miracle, Mikey threaded the needle to A.P. and the wine quickly turned back to water.
  • The double-teaming of B.B. was an effective strategy and combined with his having to play 40 minutes proved decisive because as previously observed, he seemed to be gassed at the end.
  • An Iona loss would have been the cherry on top.  Who do we want to lose when they meet on Sun.?
  • I can't even imagine a letdown tomorrow considering what is at stake.
  • Finally, did you notice how the much ballyhooed 11 man rotation worked last night when so much was on the line?  Didn't a poster predict that back in Oct.??
  • Enjoy the 'Maid of the Mist' today boys, because last night you made more than you missed!
